Just months shy of her claiming at Carrowmore and fulfilling a centuries-old prophecy, werewolf Ashling Boru has stepped into her role as the Crimson Queen. She finally has the support of her pack and her love for Grey is stronger than ever.

But it's not easy being queen. Ashling's guardian, Baran, has been captured by the Dvergars, a family of evil wolves who will stop at nothing to possess Ashling's power and destroy everything--and everyone--she loves. Ashling must unite the clans and build an army to stand against the Dvergars before it's too late. Unfortunately, the Dvergars also have armies of the darkest creatures the world has ever known.

Shadows loom, growing ever larger as generations of pack secrets begin to unfold. Ashling's people, the humans they protect, and Old Mother Earth herself all hang in the balance of Ashling's choices. Will Ashling have to forsake her true love to save the world? And will she have the strength to do it?

Bloodmoon is the thrilling conclusion to the Bloodmark Saga.

My Thoughts...

Bloodmoon is the third and final book in the Bloodmark Saga. I felt that is was wrapped up quite nicely. I can't think of anything off the top of my head that wasn't resolved. Overall I quite liked this one, but I didn't love it the way I loved the second book Bloodrealms. That being said, this series will be going into my favorite series folder on Goodreads.

" I wanted to turn and run all the way to Dunmanas Bay and pretend I was still an innocent child, but I wasn't innocent anymore. I had seen too many evils."

Ashling has been through a lot since the first book Bloodmark. I've loved seeing her evolve and grow into a stronger version of herself. I really admire her for not running away and for facing her fears head on. (By the way, the shit she has to face is pretty scary. Most people would have run away screaming. )

Throughout the series Ashling stumbles through her relationship with her father. I loved seeing that relationship grow and foster into something beautiful in this book.

"a son is a son until he comes of age; a daughter is a daughter all her life."

Some of what happened in this book I felt had already happened in the previous book Bloodrealms. So yeah, during those parts I got a little bored. That being said, once I got through what I like to call the 'deju-vu' parts the book, it was fun and a good final book for this series.

There are some new and very interesting characters introduced in this story. I won't tell you who, or what...because, well that'd be spoiling it for you!

My favorite part is of course the romance. Again, I won't tell you what happens with Ashling and Grey but I loved it! Oh and there are other romances that develop in this one too!

I'd recommend this series for those who like paranormal and supernatural YA with romance. Also if you like settings like Ireland, Maine and traveling you'd probably like this one.
