Historical Romance / #ARCAugust Book Review
The Wolf of Kisimul Castle
by Heather McCollum

Mairi Maclean is kidnapped on her wedding day by the enemy of her dead husband. Taken north to the water-surrounded Kisimul Castle, she is held captive in the name of retribution. But The Wolf of Kisimul Castle soon learns Mairi is not a docile pawn in this game of war between neighboring Scots. Nor will she be frightened into walking down the aisle to wed the fierce Highland chief. Alec MacNeil is set on revenge. When he finds his enemy dead, he takes his wife to replace the one that was murdered. An eye for an eye. A bride for a bride. But Mairi is more tiger than kitten and refuses to bend to his will. Set stubbornly against one another, the passion that flares between them threatens to tear Alec’s strategy to shreds. ARC August Wrap-Up - Time flies when you're having fun!

Hosted by the lovely ladies over @  Read.Sleep.Repeat I cannot believe that August is over! I had a goal to read at least 5 books, however I had a lot more than that on my TBR! (I'm a moody reader.) I ended up reading 5 + a DNF at around 10 or 15%. All in all I'm pretty happy with my progress, not bad for working 60 hour weeks at my job! Here are all the books I read: Review Review Review Review Review Review Did you participate in ARC August? Either way what did you read this month?

ARC August 2016 Challenge

I cannot believe it's already time for ARC August! This will be my second year participating in this challenge. Last year I was a brand new blogger, you can view last year's post HERE . I have so many books I need to read, thank you to the lovely ladies Octavia & Shelly at Read.Sleep.Repeat for hosting this wonderful, fun event! Here is my list of ARCS. Since I'm a moody reader I will select each one depending on my feels at the time. My day job will be super busy this month BUT I have a week off the very last week of August, hopefully I can finish at least four books. I'll post a bi-weekly update post. Looking back at my 2015 ARC August post I realize I have Dark Rising on there as well, I promise y'all that is my only ARC I'm really that far behind on! On a positive note, last year my Netgalley rating was 33%, this year it's currently 72%. But I did just request a total of four books, so not too shabby if I say so myself. ...
