5 Star Book Review: A Most Excellent Midlife Crisis by Robyn Peterman

A Paranormal Women's Fiction with a bit of class, and a lot of sass, for anyone who feels like age is just a number!

Midlife's a bumpy journey. The ride is a freaking rollercoaster. The crisis is real.

With my life back to normal--normal being a very relative word--one would think I'd catch a break.

One would be very wrong.

With an Angel gunning for me and a Demon in my bed, life couldn't be more complicated. Not to mention, I'm going to have to make a rather large life choice.

Do I want to live forever?

Does anyone? Forever is a very long time.

Whatever. I'll think about it tomorrow... or next week... or next month. As long as I have my girlfriends, my dogs, a super-sized case of merlot and my deceased squatters, I'm good to go.

My midlife crisis. My rules. If it doesn't kill me dead first, I plan to have a most excellent midlife crisis.

My Review...

I couldn't put this book down. It was chockful of witty, rambunctious, Southern humor! It was loads of fun.

Gram had me cracking up throughout the book. Here's one of her witty retorts...

You’re so skinny if you stood sideways and stuck your tongue out, you’d look like a zipper.

On the flip side, I did cry about 90% of the way in. Don't worry, they were happy tears...mostly.

This book is also full of heartwarming wisdom...

Being gay isn’t a sin. Not living your truth or finding peace and happiness—that’s the sin.

Daisy discovers a lot in this book. There are so many plot twists and along with that, the character development is so believable and so good!

The romance is so sweet, so sexy and of course there's plenty of funny moments. Yes, there's sex but it's not over the top. This romance is more the true love sorta romance that I just eat up! Exactly why I read romance.

Oh and I cannot forget the friendship in this book. The bond that Daisy has with her friends is so heartwarming. Daisy has also gotten close to her "new friends" and I can't wait to see how this goes in the next book!

I flew through this book and will be starting the next book in this highly entertaining paranormal series today!

This book is a Paranormal Women's Fiction novel on Kindle Unlimited. Even if you don't typically read Women's Fiction, this one will be right up your alley if you gravitate towards Paranormal Romance or Urban Fantasy!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish . I'm a bit behind on watching movies these days. What can I say, watching all 10 seasons of Supernatural on Netflix plus all of my DVR'd shows did me in. But I always make sure to make time to watch my favorite books come to life on the big screen! Without further ado here are my top ten 5 book to movie adaptations I'm looking forward to! (I couldn't think of ten!)
