My Thoughts...

Reading this book the second time around I liked it even more so than the first. Luce has always known she’s different but not until she starts at Sword & Cross does she discover who she truly is. I feel like the author did a fantastic job with the plot, pacing and answering those mysterious questions while still leaving some of that mystery of Luce’s past for the next book Torment.

While at Sword & Cross Luce meets some interesting characters who quickly become her friends. I really liked Penn, Gabbe and Arriane. Roland is Daniel’s friend and I loved his weirdness.

This book does revolve around a love triangle between Luce, Cam and Danielle.

Lauren Kate does a great job weaving plenty of twist and turns, beautifully done. I’ll be starting Torment soon! Check out the movie trailer below…
