10:00 tonight at the water tower. Tell no one. -Chaos Club

When Max receives a mysterious invite from the untraceable, epic prank-pulling Chaos Club, he has to ask: why him? After all, he's Mr. 2.5 GPA, Mr. No Social Life. He's Just Max. And his favorite heist movies have taught him this situation calls for Rule #4: Be suspicious. But it's also his one shot to leave Just Max in the dust...

Yeah, not so much. Max and four fellow students-who also received invites-are standing on the newly defaced water tower when campus security "catches" them. Definitely a setup. And this time, Max has had enough. It's time for Rule #7: Always get payback.

Let the prank war begin.

My Review of Don't Get Caught...
What can I say, I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Don't Get Caught reminded me so much of a modern day The Breakfast Club. I couldn't tell you how many times I caught myself laughing hysterically while reading this! There was one moment in the car with my husband, he knows me enough by now but he did give me a look

If you follow my blog you know I don't read a lot of contemporary books. I am so glad I decided to give this one a shot. I'd categorize this one as a YA comedy that readers of all ages will love! This is the perfect book to pick up if you've just finished a heavy, emotional book.

Now I'd like to talk about the pranks and heists that go on in Don't Get Caught. Don't worry I won't spoil anything for you. I just want to say, I loved them and it made me miss being a teen! It's YA books like this that make me love reading YA! I mean if adults were to pull some of this stuff, well they'd be locked up!

Now let's talk about the pacing, plot and characters. You know, all the fun stuff. First off, there's not a single teeny slow point in this book. Kurt Dinan has created a story with the PERFECT flow, and that's an art in itself! Most books have at least a few slow pages, but not this one.

Now on to the plot. I just love books that have a twist you can't see coming in a million years. Guess what? This book has one! Seriously, shit goes down! I could see this book becoming the next big teen book and movie!

I will say at first the characters were a little difficult to keep up with. In the beginning when we meet the five main characters there are first names thrown out there, then last names only. Just a bit confusing for the first five or so chapters. Oh and when the pranks start they use code names, which I thought was really fun but a bit confusing at times.

That being said I loved how diverse this cast of characters are! Each and everyone of them are completely different and stand apart on their own beautifully!

For those of you seeking a bit of romance in your reading, well there's just a speck of it in Don't Get Caught. I'm someone who usually needs romance in a book and it was just enough to keep me interested. But romance isn't what this book is about so there's just a tiny sprinkling of it dispersed within the pages!

If you were to ask me what I got out of this book my answer would be: don't sell yourself short. I know you're probably thinking "How did she get that out of a book about pranks and payback?" Well beneath all of the laughs this book is about discovering yourself, even if it means making some mistakes along the way.
