Sinead's Questions

What's  your favorite genre?

I love paranormal & fantasy. I will read YA, NA & Adult in these genres, however YA is my FAVORITE! :)

When did you first start reading?

I remember developing my love of reading very early on, around 3rd grade or so. I loved reading so much I would read anything! Some of my best friends are books! In middle school I would finish my assignments early so I could get a pass to the library and in high school I was a library aid. Then of course "life" got in the way and I stopped reading as much. In 2008 when the movie Twilight was all the rage I picked up the book to see what all the fuss was about. Ever since then I've been more addicted to books then ever before!

Where's your favorite place to read?

My absolute favorite place to read is on the sofa or a comfy chair with a blanket! I love the rain and find that's my more enjoyable time to read.

What's your favorite fairy tale retelling?

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini

What's your favorite book-to-movie adaptation?

This is a hard one for me because I don't typically like the movie. But I would say Breaking Dawn, they did a really great job on recreating the book in the movie!

What's your favorite book quote?

Well it's from Twilight! (Of course)

Even more, I had never meant to love him. One thing I truly knew - knew it in the pit of my stomach, in the center of my bones, knew it from the crown of my head to the soles of my feet, knew it deep in my empty chest - was how love gave someone the power to break you”

Paperback or ebook/kindle?

Paperback any day! I love the feeling of the pages under my fingertips and the smell of paper.

How much have you paid for a book?

Upwards of $20.00. If I could get my hands on a signed copy of Twilight, I'd pay a LOT!

Do you listen to music while you read?

Unfortunately I just can't focus on the plot if I try to listen to music while I read. I do associate songs to books though! It's weird, I don't always go by the lyrics. There's a song by Rhianna called Rude Boy than makes me always think of The Forest of Hands & Teeth by Carrie Ryan. It's the music to the song, not the lyrics. I imagine me as Mary walking down the fenced in path through the woods on my guard in case a zombie comes at me! Honestly if Rhianna collaborated with Carrie Ryan to re-do the lyrics it would be AMAZING for the book!

Have you or would you read graphic novels?

Not really, I tried reading the graphic novels to Twilight. They were very interesting. If I love a novel and the author releases graphic novels afterwards I will read them just to get more of a impression of the author's vision.

Would you buy a book simply because it had a pretty cover?

A pretty cover "attracts" me to a book. If I like the summary or if there's a blurb on the front cover by an author I love I will pick it up in an heartbeat!

My Questions:

  1. If you could meet any fictional character in real life who would it be?
  2. What is your favorite genre?
  3. What inspired you to blog?
  4. What is your favorite book quote?
  5. Which movie would you like to see as a book?  (Isn't already a book)
  6. You find out supernatural creatures are real, which one do you choose as your allies?
  7. What book has been your favorite so far in 2015?
  8. Who is your absolute favorite author?
  9. Favorite series?
  10. How many unread books do you have on your shelf?
  11. Fantasy or Paranormal?

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish . I'm a bit behind on watching movies these days. What can I say, watching all 10 seasons of Supernatural on Netflix plus all of my DVR'd shows did me in. But I always make sure to make time to watch my favorite books come to life on the big screen! Without further ado here are my top ten 5 book to movie adaptations I'm looking forward to! (I couldn't think of ten!)
